If you look at the beginning of this thread you'll see that it's usually squats instead of leg press. When you squat correctly there is a very significant hamstring component to the ROM. In fact, the way I do leg press (deep) there is even a hamstring component.

I tend not to do any leg curls these days, if that's what you're asking. Actually never found leg curls to be all that effective, when compared to, say, SDLs.

Fair enough, I do squats deep also for this reason. I would agree about leg curls, probably because there's no movement in life that sees the hamstrings isolated like that, so the carryover is poor...
